Mode 1 — UVA Mode (blue light):
Activates automatically when plugged in. This is your fly-catching mode — emits UV light at 365nm, 395nm, and 450nm to attract fruit flies, moths, gnats, and no-see-ums to the sticky board. Leave this on for maximum catching.
Mode 2 — Night Light Always-On Mode (orange light):
Press the button once to switch from UVA mode. Orange light stays on continuously. No insect-attracting effect whatsoever — purely a night light. Useless for catching flies.
Mode 3 — Night Light Auto-Sensing Mode (the flashing one):
The orange light flashes twice then stays on — this is a light/dark sensor mode. It automatically turns the night light off when the room gets bright and back on when it gets dark. Still orange, still no fly-catching effect.
I have the unit. I noticed it was not straight. I moved it to upright and the light turned yellow I changed it back to blue. Your instructions do not mention yellow light
